Heavy alcohol use a danger for young women
An article in the CBC discussed the dangers of binge drinking for young women, reporting that this type of excessive drinking of alcohol is on the rise for Canadian women ages 20-34. Sandra Lee back in the hospital with infection
Food Network star Sandra Lee is in the news once again after suffering an infection from her double mastectomy that took place in May. E! Online reports she is back home and recovering well from her latest procedure.
New comic from artist Teva Harrison
Teva Harrison is a young woman living with metastatic breast cancer. This week, she released her latest comic for her series in The Walrus, which poignantly illustrates the emotional struggles of young women dealing with breast cancer. Read more of her comics here.
Rethink Breast Cancer releases new video series for young women with breast cancer
And lastly (but definitely not least!), this week at Rethink, we released our latest LiveLaughLearn series The Comeback. This series focuses on dealing with the challenges that arise after a cancer diagnosis. For many young women, life doesn’t simply go back to “normal” after treatment has ended.
